Steps to Buying a Netbook
Netbooks are very popular mini laptops that are small, lightweight and cheap and in this article we cover the steps you should take when buying one.
Netbooks have become popular very quickly and manufacturers have stepped up to take advantage of this and so you will find a lot of manufactures offering netbooks. Therefore it is a good idea to stick with the larger manufacturers. This is not to say that other manufacturer’s offerings are not good enough but you will probably find more technical support with the larger manufacturers. Some large netbook companies include Acer, ASUS, Dell, Everex, Sony, Samsung, Toshiba, and Lenovo amongst others.
You should also take some time out to read reviews. Places such as Amazon are fantastic for feedback. Try to read lots of different reviews. Don’t make your decision on a little sample.
Also take your time to find the best deals. There are so many places online offering these little beauties you can really make some savings by shopping around.
Also don’t forget about local retailers. It might even be a good idea to visit one of these places in person and check out and play around with the netbook to see if you will really like it.
Netbooks are fantastic little laptops and as long as you are aware of their limitations you will not have any problems using them for the right jobs and enjoying them and by taking your time and following the advice above you will end up with just the right netbook for you and your needs.

| Review by Erik J. Mccullough (Austin, TX) 2010-06-06 I had read reviews of other media. I bought it because it is one of the few 10.1 "netbook with a 1366x768 resolution (instead of 1024x600 which is normal for this format). This intrigued me because the screen resolution means more you go to a page. This is generally better for browsing, word processing, etc. <... Read more Sony VAIO VPC-W211AX/T reviews | ||
